Aaron Ramsey is back at Juventus and fans took their opportunity to have a bit of fun with the midfielder… who apparently hasn’t been brushing up on his Italian over the summer break.
It has been no secret that both parties want to part ways, but no solution has yet been found.
Cardiff City had been touted as a potential suitor, while Andrea Pirlo, now manager of Turkish Super Lig club Fatih Karagumruk, had been looking at bringing him to Turkey.
For now, though, he is still a Juve player and he is back at the Turin club after the summer break for pre-season medical tests.
He was signing autographs for fans upon his arrival and one decided to catch the former Arsenal star out by presenting his own ‘contract termination’ document to be signed.
Ramsey put his signature on the piece of paper, unaware of what he was being presented with.
Although he is back at Juventus, he is unlikely to be involved in their plans for the next season.
The Wales international has one year left on his contract, but Paul Pogba’s arrival on a free transfer would have pushed him further down the pecking order.
Ramsey went out on loan to Rangers for the second half of last season, but struggled with fitness. He made 13 appearances, scoring twice, and left on a low after missing the crucial penalty as the Scottish giants lost the Europa League final to Frankfurt.
The 31-year-old signed a massive £400,000-a-week contract at the Serie A club when he left Arsenal on a free transfer in 2019.
Those huge wages are likely to be prohibitive for any transfer and a loan move could be more likely.
